2 Channels QTV

Sophisticated features made possible with digital technology
The Fine Detail (DTL) function makes the picture more realistic by compressing the detail edge component when shooting high contrast scenes. Highlight DTL and several other DTL functions are also available.

Camera Operator Assist Functions
There are two types of camera operator assist functions incorporated in the HDK-55 camera head. The viewfinder detail(VF DTL) function allows the camera operator to increase the detail edges to the viewfinder video for easy-focusing. In addition, the Quick EZ Focus (Focus Assist) function is newly incorporated useful tool, providing very distinct enhancement to the viewfinder edge signal to enable the camera operator to make critical focus adjustment.
Video processing technology to maximize the benefit of 16-bits
This camera is designed from the start based on 16-bit A/D and matching 16-bit DSP to maximize the benefits of high bit quantization. Especially for the dark areas of the picture, the higher gradation for gamma and other circuits improves the reproduction, providing for more natural color in the shadow areas of the picture.

Variety of Viewfinders
For the HDK-55, 2-inch 16:9 high definition VFs for portable application are available, including monochrome CRT type and color LCD type. In addition, 5-inch CRT, 7-inch LCD and 9-inch LCD color viewfinders are also available as options.
SE-H700 System Expander
The SE-H700 System Expander enables the use of the 9-inch viewfinder and full studio lenses with the HDK-55, converting the portable camera into a full facility studio camera. Installation of the camera into the SE-H700 is easy, and conversion back to portable configuration is quick for maximum operating flexibility.

Affordable Camera Control Unit
The BSF-55 is newly designed in the compact size of 1.5RU height with 19-inch rack mount width, transmitting uncompressed high quality pictures with use of an optical fiber connection between HDK cameras. Both HDTV and SDTV formats are supported simultaneously in both digital and analog form with a wide range of built-in interfaces. The BSF-55 also features embedded audio in the SDI output signals. A half-rack base station, BS-89A, is also available, permitting full SMPTE fiber cable extension with a compact base station, suitable for small sized OB vans and rental / flight-pack systems. The BS-89A supports 2 channels of QTV to match the camera head feature.
Sophisticated Camera Control Panel System
There are two types of camera control panel systems, each with a wide range of camera control capability. The conventional OCP allows direct and quick control of various camera parameters using dedicated buttons on the panel. The OCP-200 / MCP-200 Network based control panel system allows any OCP to control any camera with assignment set at the OCP itself. System wiring is simplified with control of up to 96 cameras via a single coax cable between CCU locations and video control locations. The OCP-200 and MCP-200 include touch screen LCDs. The depth-of-control of the OCP-200 can be selected from basic to complete to fit the customers' operating discipline. Conventional one by one camera control connection is also available with the OCP-200.

Newly Developed High Performance Full HD 2/3-inch CMOS Sensors
The HDK-73 utilizes three 2/3-inch 2.6 mega pixel CMOS sensors, each capable of capturing full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution images and a wide dynamic range of more than 600%, and giving you an excellent sensitivity of F12 (60Hz) / F13 (50Hz) and high signal-to-noise ratio.
Native Multi-format
The CMOS sensors support progressive and interlace readout, natively supporting 1080i/59.94 and 1080i/50, as well as 720p/59.94 and 720p/50 HDTV formats.

Advanced Full Digital DSP
This camera is designed from the start base on End-to-End Digital made possible by using CMOS sensors, and includes the benefits of high bit quantization. Quick EZ Focus Assist Function
The Quick EZ Focus Assist function is a newly incorporated useful tool, providing very distinct enhancement to the viewfinder signal to enable the camera operator to make critical focus adjustment. The size of area, area color, edge color, and display time on the viewfinder are adjustable in the camera menu.

RET and QTV Channels
The featured base stations for the HDK-73 support four channels of return video (RET), two each for SDI and VBS. The selected channel can be output at the camera as an HD-SDI signal (upconverted if input in SDTV) and used to feed a talent monitor or other purpose. In addition there is a separate prompter channel (QTV) with SDTV input at the base station and SD output at the camera.
Advanced Digital Detail
Both horizontal and vertical Detail Correction circuits for red, green and blue signals are independently and digitally processed. You can obtain the full resolution of a high quality picture with extremely low noise, even under low-light shooting conditions.

Dockable Camera Body
With a docking style camera body, either an FA(Fiber adapter), TA (Triax adapter) or CA (Camera adapter) can be mounted without any external cables depending on the use. A new lower profile and lower weight improve the manuverability for shoulder use.
Moire Reduction Filter (Factory Option)
An Anti-Moire Optical Low-Pass Filter can be fitted in the filter wheel to reduce unwanted moire video patterns when shooting a large LED screen, etc. * If this optional filter is ordered, one of the ND filters must be replaced.

HDR (High Dynamic Range)
The camera provides an HDR function with its HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) curve. It is now possible to shoot a scene with high dynamic range without lossing gradation in the highlights.

Native Multi-format
The CMOS sensors support progressive and interlace readout with standard HDTV formats including 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50, 720p/59.94 and 720p/50.

3G Upgrade Path
The camera supports 1080p/59.94 4:2:2, 1080p/50 4:2:2, 1080i/59.94 4:4:4, and 1080i/50 4:4:4 3G HDTV formats by software upgrade. (Option)
24p Upgrade Path
The camera can also be software upgraded to support 1080p/23.98, 1080p/23.98psf, and 1080i/59.94 with 2-3 pulldown.

Newly developed FPGA DSP
High density 45nm rule FPGA are employed for the digital video processing for superb picture quality. And the DSP includes custom gamma curves (cine gamma).
Lens Aberration Correction function
A Lens Aberration Correction function is newly incorporated for minimizing the loss of resolution and colored edges caused mainly by lens chromatic aberration.

Camera Operator Assist Functions
The HDK-95C camera head incoporates a camera operator assist function to aid the operator finding correct focus. The viewfinder detail (VF DTL) function allows the camera operator to increase the detail edges to the viewfinder video for easy focusing.
HD SDI Trunk
When the camera is operating with FA-97 fiber adaptor and CCU-970 or BS-97, the system allows 3G (1.5G x2) transmission from the camera head to the CCU. With the camera operating in 1.5G, then a second external 1.5G video can be transmitted to the CCU as a video trunk channel. For POV or 3D applications, this will reduce the cables which need to be run. (Option)

Two HD-SDI outputs from the camera head
Two HD-SDI output signals (1.5G) are selectable between Camera, VF, RET and MON (monitor) for external monitoring at the camera head.
Two Channels QTV
Two channels of QTV output (VBS) are available for prompter and external monitoring purposes. (Option)

HD SDI QTV Channel
When configured with FA-97 and CCU-970, the HDK-95C includes an HD SDI QTV channel, in addition to the two channels VBS QTV.
Docking style camera body
With a docking style camera body, either an FA (Fiber Adaptor) or TA (Triax Adaptor) can be mounted depending on the use. A new lower profile and lower weight improve the manuverability for shoulder use.

The HDK-970A/970AP is the studio type HDTV camera system, incorporating a newly developed mass memory type FPGA, 45nm design rule, with 16-bit full digital processing and 3G transmission to achieve the highest possible picture quality.

Video processing technology to maximize the benefit of 16-bits
This camera is designed from the start based on 16-bit A/D and matching 16-bit DSP to maximize the benefits of high bit quantization. Especially for the dark areas of the picture, the higher gradation for gamma and other circuits improves the reproduction, providing for more natural color in the shadow areas of the picture.
Newly developed 2.3 Mega pixel progressive sensors
New 2/3-inch 2.3 Mega pixel 1080 progressive CCDs are employed to support not only the usual 1080i 59.94/50Hz 4:2:2,720p 59.94/50Hz 4:2:2 1.5G formats, but also 3G formats such as 1080p 59.94/50Hz 4:2:2 and 1080i 59.94/50Hz 4:4:4. Newly developed FPGA
Using mass memory type FPGA,45nm design rule, the video signals are digitized with 16-bit A/D conversion to achieve the highest possible picture quality.
3Gbps high bit-rate video output
The camera supports 3G-SDI 1080p (59.94/50Hz) wide-band video output as a standard feature for higher picture quality. The single and dual link output is available with CCU-970/BS-97 camera control unit/base station supporting 3G-SDI signal

Multi-format
The camera supports various HDTV formats of 1080p (59.94/50Hz), 1080i (59.94/50Hz 4:2:2, 4:4:4), 1080i (119.88/100Hz), 1080p (29.97/25Hz) and 720p (59.94/50Hz), achieving flexible picture representation. * 1080i (119.88/100Hz), 1080p (29.97/25Hz) are option. Camera Operator Assist Functions
There are two types of camera operator assist functions incorporated in the HDK-970A/AP camera head. In addition, the Quick EZ Focus (Focus Assist) function is newly incorporated useful tool, providing very distinct enhancement to the viewfinder edge signal to enable the camera operator to make critical focus adjustment.

Lens Aberration Correction function

Variable Color Temp. function
The Variable Color Temp. function enables the camera operator to variably control the color temperature from 2,000K to 20,000K for more precise adjustment at ease.

Next Generation High Speed Video Processor, AXII
Ikegami has developed a new processing engine, AXII, for our next generation HD, 4K, and 8K cameras. This ASIC can perform high speed processing of super high resolution video signals in various formats and frame rates. The HDK-97A utilizes this new processor, making it possible to deliver high quality, high reliability and low power consumption. The camera is also capable of 16-axis color correction and an improved focus assist function.
S/N ratio of 62dB (Typical)
Taking full advantage of its excellent sensors and video circuits, the HDK-97A offers superb high quality, natural looking pictures with 1000 TV lines of horizontal resolution, F10 sensitivity, and 62dB S/N ratio in HDTV (1080i59.94).

Simulcast
Using a down converter and up converter incorporated in the CCU as standard, both HDTV and SDTV signals are provided simultaneously from the CCU. 4K Converter Board

The HDL-23 is a Full Digital and Full Resolution HDTV camera equipped with three high performance progressive CMOS sensors, providing superb color reproduction. The optical block camera head is designed for minimum size and weight allowing use in a wide range of POV applications.
The CCU is DC powered for field use, and the camera system can be controlled by Ikegami’s traditional broadcast remote control panels. Small size, light weight, easy operation and handling make the HDL-23 well suited for applications requiring an ultra-compact HDTV camera.

High Performance Progressive CMOS Sensors
1920 x1080 progressive CMOS sensors are employed to achieve 1000TVL horizontal resolution, F10 sensitivity and 54dB SNR.
Compact and Light Camera Head
The compact and light camera head permits use in various application with easy operation and handling.

Various Output Signals
Not only two HD-SDI outputs, but also other output signals such as DVI, HDMI(Option) are available. And it supports simultaneous outputs for SD VBS and Y/C.
Auto Video Level Control
By synchronized control of Auto Gain and Auto Knee, video maintains the correct level automatically even though lighting conditions change. This feature is beneficial when using compact manual iris C-mount lenses, allowing the iris to be fixed at the best setting for depth-of-focus and sensitivity. The starting gain for AVC can be set at 3dB increments, producing maximum SNR for the each application.

Column Adding
Column adding achieves two times standard sensitivity by using 2 horizontal columns for each pixel. Also, line mix achieves another two times standard sensitivity by using 2 vertical rows. In total four times standard sensitivity can be achieved for applications where high sensitivity is required with some sacrifice in resolution.
ICCP Command Control
The camera supports Ikegami's traditional broadcast control command protocol (ICCP), so our broadcast remote control panels used with other EFP cameras can also be used on this POV camera as a part of the overall broadcast camera control system.

HDL-4500 is a Super High Sensitivity 2/3”3CMOS HDTV Camera, achieved minimum illumination 0.001lux/F1.4 (60fps). It employs the same digital processing LSI(ASIC) as standard broadcast studio cameras, achieving high resolution and accurate color reproduction under day time and normal lighting conditions. The HDL-45E/E1 is a 3CCD multi-purpose HDTV camera achieving superb picture quality, high stability and excellent reliability with the incorporation of Ikegami’s cutting edge digital technologies.
The camera provides superior picture image with newly developed 2/3-inch 2.3 Mega pixel AIT CCDs, digital processing LSI (ASIC) and the latest 14-bit A/D converters. With its compact one-piece form factor, this camera is suitable for various applications such as a weather camera, news flash camera, POV camera, etc.
The HDL-45E1 adds support for the 1080/24psF and 1080/23.98psF formats.

2/3-inch 2.3 Mega pixel AIT CCDs
2/3-inch 2.3 Mega pixel AIT CCDs are employed to achieve 1000 TVL horizontal resolution, F11 sensitivity, and 56dB SNR. By using 1920x1080 pixel sensors, there is no conversion performed within the camera. The full resolution from the sensors is maintained through to the camera output.
14-bit A/D conversion
14-bit A/D converters provide a precise picture image from dark to highlight areas, maximizing the color gradation and achieving natural color reproduction especially in the dark areas.

Built-in Servo Filter / ECC (Electronic Color Compensation) Filter
The 4-position Optical Filter can be remotely controlled from various remote control panels. Adopting ECC filter (3200k/5600k) gives proper white balance without reducing sensitivity, a benefit under high color temperature but low light conditions such as dawn and dusk. The ND and ECC filter can be independently controlled.
Low Noise Gain up
Employing a low-noise amplifier in the Master gain up circuit eliminates noticeable noise and obtains a better signal-to-noise with high gain. 3dB steps for gain up through +12dB has been realized to obtain the precise sensitivity required for a wide range scene illumination.

Advanced Full Digital Processing ASIC
Incorporating Ikegami’s advanced full digital processing ASIC, precision designed at 0.18um rule, the video signals are digitized with 14-bit A/D conversion and up to 38-bit internal digital process circuits. Digitizing white shading, gamma and other correction process in the camera head achieves superb picture quality and high stability. Chip C4 DSP ASIC, originally developed for HDK-series cameras, provides advanced color reproduction and detail enhancement features, including Skin DTL.
Various External Sync Support
In addition to HDTV PS and Tri-Sync signals, SDTV VBS and BBS signals can be used as an external sync signal for genlock.
*Note: SDTV VBS and BBS signals can not be used for 1080/24psF and 1080/23.98psF.

Full Remote Control
The HDL-45E/E1 has full remote control capability from the complete range of Ikegami remote control panels. With matching pictures, the HDL-45E/E1 works with the same OCPs and control systems as Ikegami’s HDK studio cameras. And the camera supports ISCP (Ikegami Simple Command Protocol) by menu switching for third party camera control such as PC control integrated with the remote pan and tilt system.
ATW (Auto Tracking White balance) Function
In addition to conventional one-push style AWB, incorporating the ATW function adjusts white balance automatically for outdoor shooting with color temperature changes.

Frame Accumulation
Frame Accumulation from 1/15 sec. to a maximum of 4sec. is available, increasing sensitivity up to 120 times without loosing S/N ratio.

AVC (Auto Video Level Control) Function
By synchronized control of Auto Iris, Auto Gain and Servo Filter, video maintains the same level automatically even though lighting conditions change. Especially for continuous outdoor shooting such as a weather camera application, the camera provides stable video level all day long.

    Advanced new CMOS sensors are employed to achieve superb picture quality. CMOS sensors have wide dynamic range and, in principle, no smear. The sensors include significant circuitry within the sensor itself, resulting in a digital video interface between sensor and Ikegami camera DSP, all in a very small device with low power consumption. The CMOS sensor includes native progressive and interlace modes for multi-format HD operation.

    Servo Filter
    The 4-position Optical Filter Wheel is motorized with filter position control at the remote control panel (RM-50B, OCP-300, etc.).
    Lower noise with Gain-up
    Employing a low-noise feedback type amplifier circuit in Master gain up, as well as, providing noise cancel circuits in all video related boards, eliminates noticeable noise and obtains a better signal-to-noise with high gain up.

    ND Filter and Electric Color
    Correction (ECC) Filter Employs optical 4-position ND Filter and ECC Filter (3200K/5600K). By the combination of these filters, the camera can handle all kinds of lighting conditions. AWB mode is available to cover the full range of color temperature.

    3-chip sensor
    The Hi-Motion II camera is equipped with a B4 mount and a 3-chip CMOS sensor block generating native 1920 X 1080 pixels without the need for any adapters.
    Paint Function
    The Hi-Motion II Operation Control Panel (OCP) allows the user flexibility manipulating the camera's image quality, using a look and feel identical to that of standard HD broadcast cameras. With Industry standard Matrix settings and easy colour matching to the other line cameras on the show.

    Flicker Correction
    The Hi-Motion II has implemented the Flicker Correction, so the effect of lighting flicker is reduced in the ultra high speed images.
    Continuous Live Output
    The Hi-Motion II provides continuous live video output. This allows the Hi-Motion II to be used as a standard broadcast line camera, as well as a replay camera.

    Recording during Replay
    The Hi-Motion II allows the users to simultaneously record ultra slow motion images during replay. This allows the users to cue up crucial slow motion imagery without missing any crucial on-field action.

    The HK-399W/HK-399PAW is a state-of-the-art SDTV system incorporating the industry-first 16-bit A/D converter. It is the ultimate SDTV camera, employing the same ASIC as that of an HDTV camera and an AIT chip that achieves a smear level superior to that of an FIT. With its small, lightweight body and low power consumption, the camera provides superb picture quality under a range of environments.

    16-bit A/D Converter-Forerunner in industry
    Employing 16-bit A/D converter that no one has ever done ensures the improvement of gradation on dark portion (Internal process : up to 38bit). Also knee expand circuit that is incorporated at the first step of digital processing IC restores the linearity on high luminance portion that is lost during prekneeprocess.  This makes it possible to do the linear signal processing at 600% in digital process after pre-knee and it contributes the great improvement of the characteristics such as Knee, & Flare.
    AIT (Advanced Interline Transfer) CCD
    Newly developed AIT (Advanced Interline Transfer) CCD offers high sensitivity of f11 and very low smear levels of -135dB with 100,000 times lighting condition. This figure actually exceeds that of FIT chip.

    Low Power Consumption (HK-399PAW)
    Its power consumption is merely approx. 10W thanks to the newest Digital Process IC and signal processing. This contributes the decrease of internal heat-up inside the camera and the stability of electric parts & its longer lifetime. In comparison with HK-388P (20.5W), the consumption is almost half of that.
    Compact & Light Weight (HK-399PAW)
    The camera is ergonomically designed with low profile for stable on-shoulder operation work. It is possible to keep side angle of view. The shoulder pad is made of non-slip material, and camera weight is only 2.3kg (excluding VF and TA). Prompt Software Update via SmartMedia™

    So far, it needs a time and is rather troublesome when the software version is changed. Updated software for HK-399PAW Camera Head can be sent as data through email etc, so by downloading it on SmartMedia and by slotting it in the camera and downloading, the update can be done promptly, simply and easily with less work!
    0.18μm Digital Process
    Using newly developed digital process IC - almost all signalprocessing can be done with this -designed at 0.18micro m rule, the video signals are digitized up to 38-bit internal digital processing. Full digital processing after preknee ensures stable and reliablepicture quality.

    Excellent S/N 66dB (PAL) / 68dB (NTSC), impossible figure so far, has been achievable thanks to newly developed CCD signal processing, improvement of Pre-Amp, digitization of remaining analog circuit and adoption of 14bit A/D conversion.     The Ikegami PV-7A is a 1/2″ CCD ultra-compact two-piece color camera employing Digital Signal Processing Circuitry. The PV-7A micro-head color camera connects to the CCU via a 3.5m (I 1.4ft.), cable. The PV-7A offers an amazing 480 horizontal TV line resolution for crisp color detail with a minimum low light object sensitivity of 5 Lux (.05 fc), at fl.4. Other features of the Ikegami PV-7A include both standard and Y/C video outputs; Genlock input; Auto White Balance (AWB) circuit for superior color rendition; Auto Electronic Shutter Control (AESC) for use of non-auto iris lenses and a DC-powered CCU for both portable and permanent applications.
